Looking to challenge and inspire your young artists? The Gulfport Arts Center has a camp for them.
Summertime Mini Art Camps are in full swing tomorrow for the Gulfport Arts Center. For three weeks, camps will be happening on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The three camps will be divided by age level where they will learn about color, character designs, and book art.
Becca Sargent is a member artist and she will be teaching and helping the kids with their art pieces. “Students need space, and children need space to play, and to express themselves, and to get their hands touching different mediums and things like that that way that when they’re creating art, they’re learning not only how to communicate what they feel and what they see but also express it in a visual way.”
