On Saturday, members of the community came out to repaint the pedestrian crossing art at the corners of Echo Avenue and Weldon Avenue.
The art installation is opposite Fresnohai and was first painted back in July 2019.
The artist retouched the paint and cleaned up the design with the aim of representing different parts of the center of Fresno.
“It’s a historic district. It’s a very art-friendly district. I thought it could be done elsewhere in the town,” said lead artist Mauro Carrera.
Councilors Esmeral da Soria and the Fresno Arts Council sponsored the event on Saturday.
Soria hopes that artists living in her district will be able to lead other projects in the near future.
