Art is in the air in downtown Grayling.
This year’s third annual Great Northern Art Explosion kicks off tomorrow.
It’s held in downtown Grayling at the AuSable Artisan Village Art Center.
Ninety-three artists from 15 states are featured, along with work from local artists.
It’s a free event, and you can vote on your favorite piece.
The first prize winner will get $5,000, and there’s cash prizes for the runners-up as well.
“There’s all kinds of mediums in here from watercolors to oils to photography to fabric arts to metal work,” said Andrea Hentschel, Executive Director of AuSable Artisan Village. “This has evolved from their passion and their creativity and their desire to build and help Grayling flourish through the arts.”
All ages are welcome and voting closes on Sept. 11.
